Two Weeks Into the Semester.

It has just been two weeks since the semester started and I’m already struggling to keep up with the work. I find it annoying when some people blog about how much hours they’re putting into school, when to be honest six classes is not even a big deal. I’m not complaining with 17 credit hours for this semester, why should anyone complain about six classes (more or less 14-15 credit hours)?

On top of my 17 credit hours, I am now officially going to be a Research Assistant for a professor in the Chemistry Department. Granted, I am a Biology major, but I do enjoy Chemistry a whole lot! It’s my first research experience and I’m definitely looking forward to it. So technically, I am employed by the University now.

I won’t consider this to be like any other job. I’d much rather be working as a Research Lab Assistant than as a retail worker. Pay is decent for a college student, also. I have a feeling this will be an interesting (and excruciatingly busy) semester.

Ahh…so lucky! I really want to start research, but I still need to get into a lab. It’s good that you’re paid well. I think I’ll be working for nothing this semester, but hopefully I’ll get something over the summer.
